The Reading Room

Open 1:00-4:00 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

At a time when people gained information chiefly from print sources, Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder of Christian Science, required that every Christian Science church maintain a Reading Room so the public and church members would have a resource for spiritual study.

Our Reading Room, located at the church, is a place to read the works of Bible scholars, literature published by the Christian Science church — including a monthly Journal, weekly Sentinel, the Pulitzer-prize winning Christian Science Monitor newspaper - and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.

It is also a quiet space in which to study the weekly Bible Lesson-Sermon and research spiritual ideas online.

There are materials geared to young children – board books, picture books, and CDs.

Various translations of the Bible and Christian Science literature are also available to read, borrow, or purchase at the Reading Room.

Church members who staff the Reading Room are always ready to welcome you and answer questions about Christian Science.
